Most popular and valuable cards currently available are the Alternate Art Secret cards from the Evolving Skies expansions. The difficult pull rates, print issues, and overall love of Eeveelutions, these cards have grown in value and are definitely chase cards!

Newer sets like Silver Tempest and Lost Origins can be found in retail stores i.e any shortages or so called “scalpers.” However, older sets such as Darkness Ablaze, Vivid Voltage, or Rebel Clash can be much harder to find. Even Evolving Skies booster packs and ETBs has become harder to track down. The best way to buy boosters is at local card shops and retail stores directly after release. Some people also purchase single cards from reputable websites to avoid overpaying for rare cards. Although, the most satisfying way to find these beautiful, valuable cards of the Pokemon TCG universe is through pure luck opening packs. Anyone who pulls one of the above cards has found a true treasure – one that can either be kept as a prize or sold for cash.

Pop Culture

The term pop culture is like a snapshot of our social world, it’s a backdrop of our day to day lives. From Facebook to 90’s slasher films, it navigates a range of popular culture and media which we use to find, “our people.” The 1920’s introduced the movement of popular culture, using jazz music, cars, and art to bring people together. The first use of the shortened term pop culture was first seen in publication in 1958. Pop culture is more than just a name, it represents so much more. Almost all things can represent the culture, such as: movies, music, fashion, video games, TV, technology, sports, and collectibles. Culture adds more to our lives than an escape from boredom, it allows us to identify collectively and individually. It serves as an inclusionary role in society. We are drawn to entertaining and comforting content. Think about your favorite coffee spot, are you drawn to the coffee or the atmosphere? Or even the culture. Our favorite coffee place is Fluid Coffee FLUID COFFEE ROASTERS | HOME (fluidcoffeelove.com), they have amazing coffee but the  culture that they have is so inviting that I can’t wait to step foot in their establishment! Interactions amongst one another is full of culture, just people watching you see so much! The use of slang, secret handshakes, music, food-our favorite spot Social Que BBQ Home - Social Que (socialquebbq.com) and style of dress-of course we have a favorite! Temerity Boutique | Facebook We are exposed to new perspectives when engaging in our favorite pop culture trends or content. How a brand or business engages with their consumers and the popular themes and trends is important to the growth and life of that business. Anyone or anything can be a pop culture icon and have a following, but what you give out to that following should help bridge differences amongst people. It should provide commonality and contribution to a ever changing diverse society. You are what you follow!
